RANS Crank Forward CRUZ is great!

Just got it yesterday, and all I have to say is WOW! Been on it for all the in town riding and errands. Even sneeked over on the lake trail and ran around the 2.5 mile course twice.

It really does have all the pros of a bent and a DF bike.

It WILL NOT replace my bent for long rides, but way easier for the stop and go riding in town.

I test rode a Fusion and have to agree. They do climb nicely too once I overcame the recumbent-learned "don't pull on the handlebars" lessons.

I have one too

I have one too. It's an 07 Cruz with disc brakes. I too just love it. It took me a while to get the seat "dialed in," but it is wonderful.

Bent riders do like crank forwards. I have a Rans Dynamik CF. Its fun to ride and its fast over the road. Though not as fast as a bent.

The seat is derived from Rans' bent seat. It dictated the frame geometry. You sit back and pedal forward rather than down on the stroke like on a traditional DF bike. Because its very difficult to stand, pulling on the handlebar gets more leverage during a ride.
