Recumbent What IS that thing?! Recumbents may be odd looking, but they have many advantages over a "wedgie" bicycle. Discuss the in's and out's recumbent lifestyle in the recumbent forum.

That is a beautiful bike. I can't wait to see it in person. It is very cool to see a lowracer built in the US again. I love the rear end geometry and it looks like it would easily fit the catrike triangle bags and a couple of water bottles. My drool cup runneth over.

Looks like they're able to reuse a fair amount of the tooling from their trikes. Smart.

I like it. Any word on pricing?

I've tried to go no-handed on my Giro 20 a few times, but the best I've been able to do is about 15 seconds. Nowhere near as long as that guy was doing. I did notice that he didn't try to pedal when he didn't have his hands down, though

I heard from a dealer that “they are still finalizing specs and build, but the bike should be under $2400 and about 26 pounds.” The first batch is scheduled to ship to dealers on Feb 15th. I heard the first 50 will be pearl white, but you can order in the typical wide array of catrike colors.

Going through those curves no handed is worthy of praise, not many recumbents can do that.

The seat looks like it has some kind of padding on it, instead of the mesh seat on Catrikes. The all-mesh seat is one of the biggest reasons I bought my ICE B1, since hard shell seats are too sweaty for me. I'll admit that might not be the point on a more performance-oriented bike like this - but I'm sure I'm not the only one here who likes to ride far & fast without getting a soggy jersey.

Yeah, but I find mesh seats aren't shaped for sufficient recline for comfort. Plus hardshell seats can double as a rear fender.

That is a nice looking ride. The guy is coasting hands-free for a long time and it looks very stable - that is a neat trick not easily done on any recumbent. It must have some great handling characteristics. Me want.

I spoke to Marilyn at Coventry. They will get some in as soon as they are shipped. I suspect you will be able to test ride as early as March.

Wonder if I should start lobbying now for a "Pocket" version?
