@dcrowell - Thanks, I did! BTW, I'm thinking about trying the Saturday yellow lot ride on the recumbent.

@Blazing - I figured it out. It's a lot easier if you flip the bike upside down.

@whoever - once I can get it started with Flintstoning it, I'll be a relatively happy camper.

Although I'm a club member, I rarely do club rides. I won't be at this Saturday's ride, as I'll be out selling my truck (yes, going car-free).
