    Burley Django

    Hi all.......

I'm looking into giving recumbent bikes a try, and am looking at a 2004 Burley Django SWB the guy want's 500 for the bike but it's in like new condition.

Is this a good starter bike, and what about performance wise? Not many hills in my area to be concerned with. I weight 200lbs if it matters and 6' tall with short legs LOL 30" inseam.

    TIA
Amy, I'll always remember you...... I miss you so much, for you filled my days with so much joy.

I'd say it's a good starter 'bent. Medium performance, similar to a V-Rex or a Stratus. Should be easy to learn to ride. I'm not sure how it climbs, but I'd guess somewhere between "sucks" and "outstanding." Big help, huh?

Current version of the D'Jango, as produced by Edge Recumbents, for comparison.

Half a grand for a functional quality 'bent is always (usually?) worth the gamble.

You ever get the Django? I almost bought one from a gentlemen who dabbles with recumbents up your way to make some money in retirement. He sells on ebay and seems very honest. Just curious whether you ended up with it and thoughts. Thanks. Jim
