Recumbent What IS that thing?! Recumbents may be odd looking, but they have many advantages over a "wedgie" bicycle. Discuss the in's and out's recumbent lifestyle in the recumbent forum.

Other Recumbent riders around Everett, WA?

I saw a tandem bent on my ride yesterday! That's the first I've seen in this area.

I'll have to keep an eye on the regional events forum, but anyone know if there are any good rides in the area? Benefits/charity is always a good excuse to do some extra riding.

Riding in Everett

There are four of us in Marysville. We tend to ride around Marysville and on the Centennial Trail.

Check the events section of www.bentrideronline.com. There are often MiniTOTs posted during the season. The last week of June there is going to be the TATERTOT12 in Kellogge,ID and the Recumbent Retreat in Wenatchee,WA the third week of June.

PM me here or Patrick2002 on www.bentrideronline.com if you would like to go riding some time.

There's a tentative plan for a bunch of riders to go to the tulip festival in a couple weeks. I'll put the details up when I get home. I hope the LBS has my bent back to me by then (couple spokes broke yesterday ).

is that the "Tulip Pedal"?
there's the Skagit Classic coming up, too. I really like that route, actually.
There are now wednesday night rides out of the snohomish bike shop as well as the saturday morning ones. I did the wed night one yesterday. Only 7 of us strewn about, but it was fun.
One of my riding buddies was planning on a century to Bellingham and back on Saturday.
I'd think that'd be a "brisk' pace, though, at 15-20mph. Probably average 17-18mph.
I usually do Flying Wheels in July.
There's a relaxed 9 mile TT on Norman Rd next thursday night, if anyone wants to see what that feels like.

No clue where this is, or what it means.

Hopefully, I'll have my bent back by then. (I somehow managed to break a couple of spokes on the front.)

TT is a time trial...
"relaxed" cuz it's a free club ride with a clock.

The course is Norman Rd up between Stanwood and Silvana.

"see what it feels like" to completely bury yourself physically for 20-30 min. (hopefully only 20 min :-) )

I saw a red LWB low 'bent yesterday. I was out on my motorcycle enjoying the weather. Saw the bike alone Marine View Drive (parked, the rider was walking nearby, resting?). Almost made me go back to the house and get the bent instead!
