Glaucoma and recumbent riding

:)
I ride a swb recumbent a orbit crystal.Unfortunatly I suffer from glaucoma. With this condition you are advised not to do any exercise which puts your feet above your head because itcan raise your IOP.What I was wondering is could riding a recumbent
up steep hills have the same effet on IOPs?Is there any eye specialist out there that is familier with recumbent riding that can advise me on this matter?

I would ask a Docter bro, get 3 or 4 opins

:) Thanks forthe advice.My only problem then is,what if I get a
difference of opinion?Who do I believe?
After all if my eyes get worse I wont be doing much riding anywhere.

What is your typical resting, seated intraocular pressure? I can believe that gravity would cause your IOP to be somewhat higher on a climb than on a descent, but I wonder whether other factors are far more significant. I can ask an opthalmologist friend ...

I realy havnt seen any recumbents with the feet higher than the head. I gess if u stay away from the Low Racers it seems u would be fine.

Hay I got it, print out some pics of recumbents low racers, mid racers, LWB, SWB get about 6 pics then show them to the Doc.

My IOPS are about 12 with the trab operations. My recumbent is a sports type with the legs in a very ero position.A bit like the lightning swb but with a more reclined position. It would be very kind if you could ask your freind about this as, I would rather not do anything thay can raise my IOPS.
It is a bit of a problem asking eye doctors because recumbents are not used by most people so it is difficult to get the picture across, especialy my position when riding up hill.
