Recumbent What IS that thing?! Recumbents may be odd looking, but they have many advantages over a "wedgie" bicycle. Discuss the in's and out's recumbent lifestyle in the recumbent forum.

If you use Google's chrome browser it has built in translation. Some of the oriental languages end up a little weird. Japanese can sometimes take a wild left hand turn.

I have emailed Nelson Lin who has been awesome at helping me repair my tw bent artiface after it was stolen and trashed. I found what was left of it on craigslist, and was so happy to see this "Tw bents is back" post on the forum. They are back, now as Efun bikes and Nelson has been just fantastic in helping me to replace the missing pieces of my trike. I've always been a fan of the tadpole, and found that the tw bent can keep up with the higher priced recumbents and still fold up for storage. Hopefully efun will be successful and keep some competition for catrike and trident.

Good to hear you can work with them. Right now their site is down for an upgrade, but their Facebook site is still up to date and showed them at a bike show in march. I'm kind of on the fence about them. I really want a folding 2 wheel bent and the Classic is what I like. They don't have dealers in Canada, so ordering direct is the only way. Their original site wasn't that friendly for purchasing. The original price for the Classic was over $3000. Seems a bit much. Can these guys be trusted? What's the quality like? Buying bent takes a huge leap of faith, as test riding it is impossible.

I want to place an order with them but I'm uncertain about their trustworthiness. Can you answer some questions?

Did you order parts?
Was the price fair to you?
Did you get exactly as you wanted?
Did you get it in a timely fashion?
What payment did TWBents want?
Were you happy with their service?
What is the quality of their bents?

Yes, I placed an order and paid thru paypal, just in case there was a need for recourse. I corrosponded with Lin, and he was able to email me a parts list with prices. The parts arrived within a week and were exactly what I needed to repair my trike. I was so pleased to get my trike rolling again that I offered to help them distribute some literature to the local bike shops. Nelson handed me off to someone else who hasn't been as enthusiastic about aquiring distributors here in SW Florida. I did get some pamphlets, but never any idea of price lists to give the dealers any info on costs.

I would purchase another trike from them if I was in the market for one. I think the quality is superb as I've put a lot of miles on mine, over some pretty rough roads. The price was less than the competitors, and I feel like I didn't sacrifice quality for cost. The hardware is the same, and the customer support has been great.
