Recumbent What IS that thing?! Recumbents may be odd looking, but they have many advantages over a "wedgie" bicycle. Discuss the in's and out's recumbent lifestyle in the recumbent forum.

Sounds like you had a blast.
We all know what it means to be dropped on a bike ride. On a hill, a sprint, into a headwind, or just plain dropped with power. Mary shared with us an experience of coming out of the restroom at a convenience store control to find the group she had been riding with was gone. Vamoosed, bolted, out of sight without so much as a warning. Hence, dropped in the bathroom. Once you get the concept you may recognize a variation you've experienced. Dropped while futzing with your gear, dropped while changing a battery, dropped while consulting your cue sheet, or dropped while in line behind someone buying lottery tickets and a pack of Menthol lights - the blue pack not the green.

You may even have been the drop-er rather than the drop-ee, in which case Karma is hunting you down.

Yes being dropped sucks. That is why any ride that I lead makes sure NO ONE is dropped. Being dropped especially if you have a new rider in the club is really bad. If a new rider is dropped, you will probably never see him or her again.
