Is somebody hijacking longtime user accounts?

There are two recent postings in this forum by users with a large number of previous posts but I wonder if their accounts have been hijacked? The wording in the posts is nearly identical but one is in NYC and the other in Texas. Here is a comparison of the two"

Why are some recumbents so low?
I saw quite a few people on their recumbent in Manhattan's Central Park on weekends. The recumbent are so low that they almost touched the ground (I saw the leaves passed by them from underneath being swiped). Once when I came up from behind one of them, I thought it was stopped and was worried I nearly ran it over . Isn't it not only unpleasant to be slower than anything around you, but also dangerous if there is a bike, car, big truck, etc., on the road?

Why are some recumbents so slow?
I saw quite a few people on their recumbent in Dallas' White Rock Lake Park on weekends. The recumbent are so slow that they almost weren't moving (I saw the leaves passed by them from underneath being swiped). Once when I came up from behind one of them, I thought it was stopped and was worried I nearly ran it over . Isn't it not only unpleasant to be lower than anything around you, but also dangerous if there is a stone, rock, dead bird, etc., on the road?

One remarkable coincidence right down to the extra space between the word "over" and the period at the end of the third sentence!

Let me put it this way.

Think of when you were a kid and visited the zoo. All the monkeys were asleep, and you wanted to see some action, so you'd bang on the cage and get the monkeys all riled up.

Well. Cranky knees and vol are the kids, this forum is the cage, and we monkeys need to know if we are going to stay asleep, or maybe fling poo at them.

I'd ignore them, with a slight acknowledgement that it just barely met minimum entertainment standards.

A search only turns the one thread in this forum by Creakyknees. I wondered why it wasn't posted in the 41 but that could be as explained by the Dudel.
Where is the other?

VegasTriker 11-18-13 07:01 PM

Seems strange they would show up here with similar messages

The two people who started the threads on being "low" and then "slow" are
Creakyknees with 4744 posts since 2007 and Vol with 2090 posts since 2004

While it is possible they suddenly turned into trolls, I haven't seen them bother with the subject of recumbents before.

That is weird.

Pretty much the Standard Operating Procedure over at Road Bike Review. One moron makes a lame post then 3 or more other make lame copy cat post of a moronic and sophomoric nature. They must be getting bored over there and I know there is a poster with the name creakyknees over there too.

why are some recumbents so mellow?

parody (or parroty) threads are what they called them on the forum I saw them most on. if it's like there, best not to get too bent out of shape over it (or try to totally ignore it so it sinks), or you just get more.

Ha! Ha!

If it's of concern, report it to the mods by clicking on that little triangle to the left of the black strip under the post.

I noted a post in another sub-forum here the other day by a brand new user that simply was a repost of what another had said almost immediately above it. I didn't report that one on the supposition that the poster had intended to quote then comment, but had lost their way.

It could well be someone hacking into the system.
