First things first. I just went through 20 pages of really nice bikes. I wish I could ride one like any number of them; they look like some really cool bikes. Rather than get bent out of shape over my poor balance though, I decided to simply get bent. So here I am, on my <week-old Catrike Road, churning up my insanely steep driveway after a ride:

I just need to get in shape, then I plan on doing a lot of riding.

"say something..."

"Something".

That was funny!

With a hill like that you'll be in shape in no time!! Enjoy it!

My legs are still a little sore from riding around my neighborhood today. It's almost all hilly. I am getting a little quicker up the driveway though.

How about a couple of pics of my hydration system setup, since I have them online for another forum...

An 'L' bracket, screwed onto the bottle cage mount, with a carabiner attached retractable badge holder for the CamelBak hose. Reach down, pull it up, let it slide back down into position. There's a 50 oz. CamelBak bladder in the Brain Box.

Looking at the dirt on the frame near its location the mouthpiece is going to get pretty dirty..

Too short. Doesn't touch the frame.

I usually lick the frame clean before rides anyway.

I was thinking about a hardshell, the bottom frame of the seat rubs my thighs when I drop my leg. How hard was it to put it on. Where did you buy it, and how did you install it.

Hardshell seat w/head rest from Actionbent, I used Volae seat brackets from Hostel Shoppe, drill mounting holes on the hardshell seat and installed with original Vision fasteners. The headrest is something of a must now, the narrow profile of the hardshell seat makes the bike easily maneuvered among cars in downtown traffic.

I've had this Giro26 about 5 weeks, 600 +- miles. I took this after the club ride last saturday. After I downloaded the picture, I noticed I can see my pick-up in the parking lot!

I got a warranty-replacement Baron frame from Optima this spring. With a new fork and Glide-Flex stem, it's almost like a completley new bike.

Very nice looking bike, how does it ride? how much does it weigh? does it have enough frame clearance to use MTB tires?

Built in June of '04, this one is affectionately called my "Beater". Weighs a smidgen over 11 kg.

actionbent

It has Continental Touride 26x1.75 tires. I changed seat angle to more upright position with simple homemade brackets. The two changes made it comfortable to ride any where.

Picked this baby up yesterday a Challenge Hurricane, not sure of model or date. Chain was rusted tight and the front brakes will need bleed and serviced. I rode it for about 1 1/2 miles today, until brakes are fixed no more riding ( scary )

More pics on my Photobucket in my signature

Nothing exotic--just a RANS Stratus LE, but I've ridden it over 1800 miles this year.

That's some good work PaPa. If that's your beater what does your good bike look like?
