Recumbent What IS that thing?! Recumbents may be odd looking, but they have many advantages over a "wedgie" bicycle. Discuss the in's and out's recumbent lifestyle in the recumbent forum.

Lowest Gear for Bachetta Bella

I have a long wheel base recumbant. Bachetta Bella. I am going to ride across country and need the lowest gears possible. Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks.

With the 11-34t rear cassette and 26t granny in the front you already have a fairly good low end. Of course you could always replace the 26t with a smaller chainring and possibly replace the 34t on the rear with a 36t to further enhance your climbing ability.

26-34 is very low. You need to find some steep hills and see if it is low enough.

My low gear is 24-34. I've used it for climbing 15% slopes with a full touring load. I don't use it often, but when I need it I need it. Pedaling is barely faster than walking.
