Recumbent What IS that thing?! Recumbents may be odd looking, but they have many advantages over a "wedgie" bicycle. Discuss the in's and out's recumbent lifestyle in the recumbent forum.

A question...

I'm seriously considering buying a Giro 20ATT in a few months and have a question. Actually, I have a bunch of questions, but those can wait till later

Anyway, I really enjoy riding rails-to-trails and am curious how well the Giro does on crushed gravel type surfaces.

Any and all info is greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

On a finely crushed stone surface, typical of RTT, the Giro 20 will work just fine.

As the conditions get rougher, you can move towards fatter and fatter rubber, but at some point (as the roughness increases) the small front wheel can be a liability and a larger from wheel (think Giro 26) would do better. That point would be something like a chunky ballast gravel road, like this (where I ride my Giro 26):

Excellent...one less concern about buying the Giro.

I am SO looking forward to buying this bike!

Thanks for the replies!
