DC Bike Pirates:
Halloween Haulass Hide-n-Seek
October 26, 8pm. Location to be announced.
emilymildew and chimbleysweep are organizing a scavenger hunt (see, the clues hide, and you have to seek them. get it?)
Teams of three or four, $5/person entry, winning team takes all.
What will you be finding? Clues in places, clues from your brain. Points awarded for costumes (the more outrageous the better).
More information to be posted.

This weekend is the east coast polo championships. There's an alleycat Saturday night connected to the weekend event. As far as I understand, registration will be at a local bar TBA Friday night. If there's no word to be found about the bar, the competition starts early Sat morning at TipTop Park, Front & Allen Sts. ~9am

For anybody in the MD/DC area. It appears that there is a ride in Georgetown this morning also. But if you happen to be in college park in the afternoon...

14th and K NW (Sherwood!). Riding starts promptly at 8, so plan to arrive at 7:30 or thereabouts.
Bring some friends, a bag, a pen, and a costume.

I'm not the organizer, but I've been told that there will be an alleycat in New Brunswick NJ this coming Friday (10.29). Its only an hour by train from NYC, so if you're in town for Halloweekend but don't feel like losing a $100 come on down. Or if you're on your way to NYC (via train or car) stop by, race, see some cute college girls, and have a few drinks (way cheaper than NYC).
I believe the start/registration location is the top level of the "College Ave Parking Deck":
https://gobble.rutgers.edu/newpats/cacmap.htm
On this map, the parking deck is near the Northwest corner of campus, behind Brower Commons and adjacent to Financial Aid.
I believe race start time is 4pm-ish.
I know that this is pretty short notice, but I hope that some of you will be able to make it.
Feel free to PM me w/ questions. I'll know more concrete info from the organizer by tomorrow.
PS. New Brunswick is 5 minutes off of Exit 9 on the (in)famous NJ Turnpike. It is also a stop on the Northeast Corridor NJ Transit line. The station is only a 3 minute ride to the parking deck.

Features a usual fun class and a winner take all "pro" classification with longer distances, and less bullsh*t.
