friday is a CM indeed, they dont take too long and free to splinter off at any time. a small tour of the monuments would be fun; want to plan some sort of route to hit them all peter? maybe a lap around Haines?

Yes, lets plan a route that gets the best of the monuments. I suppose hains and either mem bridge or key bridge (or both).

Off camber racing in a circle could be very very entertaining

Have parental units visiting this week, Friday will be a good excuse to say, "got friends coming and may be crashing, maybe time to go back to brooklyn?"

Yeah, man, follow this bad boy for everything pirate. There is also a yahoo group and mailing list if you haven't already seen it in the first post.

I don't suppose you will be ready to ride by Friday?

Thanks, everyone . . . that felt like a big group hug!

I won't be allowed to ride by Friday -- doctor's orders -- but I'm really dying to get back on two wheels. Luckily, riding a bike is like . . . well, riding a bike, and I'm sure I haven't forgotten how to do it.

ok pirates. a weekend of fun is coming up. some usefulness here...

- if you don't want to race on Saturday, you can always work a checkpoint instead.
- let's do an 8pm pirate meetup, so folks who want to do CM can.
- keep prodding those out of towners.
- saturday brunch? a ride on sunday? or is that too much?

all sounds good to me, i think a full schedule like that is good, i'm sure that work will interfere for me, and others have stuff to do <maybe?> so we can all join in and have fun when we have time.

any suggestions for brunch? any places in DC like Hilary's in chicago?

As long as we do not need to ride in front of a firehouse on our way there.

There are lots places in logan and dupont not far from race start that serves great brunch (foo bar). All else fails, there is Kramers. I'm prodding the neo NY'rs on their Prospect Park race thread , could use some help there.... Chimbly?
