NO WAY! That cardinal is still alive? Last time I was out at Hanes was over a month ago, and that bird was doing the same damn thing. The little guy must have a skull of steel, he was hitting the window pretty frickin' hard.

In other news.

Guess who won not one, but two spots in the Fixed Gear Gallery's Best Bikes of 2005?

None other than one Miss Eisenhardt and her 3Renhso.

Lets give Julie and Okashii a big round of applause!

She placed 5th in "Best Track."

And, drumroll please....................1st in "Best Gal's Bike."

Okashii was competing against over 1,400 other beautiful bikes as well.

Congratulations kid.

Wow, I had no idea that the cardinal was famous... It is definitely one determined little bird, that's for sure.

BTW: off topic,

I'm looking at a trip to IKEA later today. Anyone interested from downtown should email me at poopncow@tmail.com

Since proteus bikes is 1/2 mile from IKEA, this will put us back on topic

Look for the return of this pancake and cheese pirate soon. I may be slow, but I will be slow on a bike and thats all that matter.

In other news, I am moving to Cap Hill. 12th and Constitution NE. I will have everyone over for a pre-ride meal after we get settled. I am a trustworthy person and if I say I will feed you, I will feed you.

Lastly to end this post on a bike related note:

I have an old 80's 10 speed that I don't know if I am moving. I was thinking of converting her at some time, but never did. She does not run so well.(The chain skips)

Anyone want to help me fix her up, or convert to Fixed and sell/trade/learn about bike with other pirates? Just a thought.

April is a long ways away. Don't let us forget and some of us will show!

Boog: Hope you'll be riding soon. Cap hill on 12th is pretty sweet, as long as you don't keep the other pirates hungery like your BF.

And you know my thoughts about wrenching and building stuff.

Spud has one of those T's I think.

Nate and I talk about turning the bike in to a three speed for him. The other idea was to turn it in to a community fixed bike.

I don't care very much, I just want to play with bike stuff and learn about bikes.

I echo this sentiment, I don't want to be the jerk who hijacks this project so I'm gonna leave it up to the rest of The Pirates to make the final call. It would be great if this became the Nathan's Three Speed Beater Project, but that has started to seem abhorantly, discustingly, and reprhensably selfish of me.

That is so self serving! There is a dictionary headed towards your head the next time you show your face. If that doesn't work, the follow up smack will come in the form of a greasy Sturmey Archer 3 speed hub.

I'll contribute said hub to the project, if that is the direction we are going. Otherwise, you know about the 12 step program I'm a going thru.
