Last Race Of The Year? New Year's Eve, Sunday 12.31.06!? Alley "kitten" 2! Nyc!!

For those of you who will be in New York City on New Year's Eve...

...just like last year, we are again throwing a short n' sweet jam! YOU ARE INVITED!!
This fun race will get you pumped before a full night's festivity ahead, wherever the hell it is you end up partying!

About 40 people raced last year, and with the help of our lovely NYC family everyone had a great time.
That race put a bunch of people on the map too - I kid you not. Those people are now seasoned riders. Damn, how time flies...

If you are in the city and you have access to a bike, come out and throw down one last time for good 'ol 2006.
The race will be starting off early in the afternoon so it won't cut into your New Year's Plans, promise!
Unless of course you wanna kick it with our squadron for the long haul, and who knows where that will lead...

more details to follow..
check back for updates!

suggestions? Let's hear 'em.

the start location for this race:
where BIKE POLO takes place every weekend.

...if you still don't know, stop your friendly neighborhood Trackstar™ rider
and ask him/her where that is!

and try to be there by 1pm...

Trackstar 12-18-06 08:22 AM

I want to add at this point. Trackstar is having a huge New Year's Eve party at Home Sweet Home. It's a sweet basement bar near the Polo spot. More details to come...

Don't bother. You can't afford to make yourself look any worse, especially after your showings in our indoor paragon olympic games, where I pretty much out-did you in every competition.

marcelinyc 12-23-06 01:08 PM

well... ehhh... I'm sick!:D

ch0mb0 12-25-06 11:08 AM

as we are sticking to the original premise of last year's alleykitten, powerhouses like marcelinyc may attend this race but are only allowed to party or to make your life hell at checkpoints!

less than a week remains and this is what we have for yall so far:

start: polo court @ chrystie/broome. regstration starts at 1pm.

bring: bike and a bag. you'll need to use it. (if you wanna hang for the afterparty, best to have a lock for security!)

checkpoints: TBA at the race. when in doubt, bring a map. you probably won't need it, though..

also: a few people coming in from out of town need shelter on NYE.
anybody know anybody with a little space to spare? post here or at sasha's board

ch0mb0 12-29-06 12:50 PM

afterparty in the East Village! (right at the finish)

get your pre-post-game rollin' with cheap-ass drink specials courtesy of brooklyn breweries when you're done racing and patiently waiting to hear your name announced as first place winner.

remember: sunday sunday sunday - 1pm registration starts at chrystie & broome. you will be given your manifest there. look it over and take in a polo match. the weather's looking good for that day.

get ready to race! and tell your friends!

now, a picture from last year's race for good luck:
