Gainesville, Friday, Dec. 8th Sprints

Gainesville will be hosting a quaint (that's what we call it when no one shows up) sprint tournament this Friday, 2:00 PM. Location is the intersection of NE 16th Ave. and NE 6th Terrace. Let me know if you need more specific directions (it's a grid system, not that hard, but if you need help, I'll try to lose the sarcasm).

$2 to enter, all bikes and bikers welcome. We'll be racing speed bump to speed bump down a straight, flat street with zero traffic two at a time until we have a winner (setting up brackets, tournament style). Said winner will then receive all of the cash.

It should be a good time. Hope to see some friendly faces there, but don't shoot me if it sucks.

I guess I should also mention that these sprints are in place of that other race that got cancelled/postponed. This one is actually happening, guaranteed.

just make sure the distance isn't too far for fixed-gears to max out! what's up with the speed bumps, sounds like someone could wipe at the end if they're gunning it

Distance is a non-issue, trust me. Also, they're wimpy speed bumps - rise of about 6 inches, but they're about five feet wide, you know, so it's more like a gentle slope.

Everybody will be competing on a level playing field, with no gear shifting allowed, becaue I'm an ass like that.
