Sounds good to me. I wasn't sure if you wanted a bit smaller for cross since you're getting on and off so much.

I guess my overall feeling is not violation, because in the back of my mind I always knew this would happen. Now that it actually has happened, I feel that whoever did this is pathetic... Really now, how much of a ****-stain of a life must you have to resort to sealing bikes/bike-parts?
That sucks man. I had my light ripped off the other week because I left it on my bike. I'm going to sit across the street from my bike with a baseball bat with my new replacement light when it gets here.

I use the regular ones that the stores sell or some my Mum has brought from the UK. I guess for an Xmas gift you'd probably want something that isn't all "Sobey's: Eat Fresh" or whatever... Great idea for a gift though!

Yeah, she has the Sobeys ones, but she thought she'd like some that are a little nicer looking.

I ended up getting her a set of 'Flora' bags from Envirosax.

I saw this letter to the editor on velonews:

"I'm not sure if you guys have heard this, but I wanted to spread the word. In Philadelphia, there is a proposal in front of the City Council to issue $1000 fines for riding "brakeless" bikes. The city is seeking to raise cycling violation fines and increase bicycle regulations including a license plate requirement for bikes!!"

I'm sure we'll see some city counselor suggest this soon in

I can use a shim. I'd just prefer not to buy a new stem.
