Long Distance Rides

I just bought my Trek Soho. Is it possible to ride in longer distance (charity) events with others who ride multi speed bike? Looking at 100 mile event.

I agree with 10 Wheels... the motor is the question and then of course your head...
In June this year I did BTC ( ) on a 44x16 SS... my head got me through it, my motor was at redline more times than I care to admit...

My friends did a midnight century with me... Brakeless and fixed. It's totally possible.
