Tomac rolled with gripshift BitD? I guess my anti grip**** bias from my own racing still holds over and musses my memory. I did everything to make it work but I never completed a 20 mile+ race without some issue. Even when everything meant "letting the pro wrench handle it top to bottom spare no expense gore-tex cables yeah sure if it helps" attitude. Had to retreat to rapid fire xtr in 95
but if tomac rolled it I must presume i was wrong!

and yeah, forgot to mention: minus-gripshift. I never "got" that either. I never owned it, but I rode friend's bikes with it and never liked it.. and I'm not even talking reliability.

Try changing the cables on one and you'll love them even more!

Just back from the Cross race in Hamilton. The course was fun and the weather was obviously great. Ran into our old BF buddy Darkmother there...he raced Senior 3/4 and smoked the field for the win! I managed to drag my sorry ***** across the line for 11th out of 18 in my field. Mike sadly had a pinch flat and didn't finish. Gonna make sure we have a spare wheel in the pits next race.

jeremywhitehorn: wanna get that regular ride / debauchery idea started this week? How about Wednesday nights?
everyone else: bust out your mountain/cross/whatever bikes! It doesn't matter if you think they suck.. it'll still be fun times!
Just 'cause you got a nice pen, it don't help your penmanship! </very obscure, somewhat embarassing canadian indie rock reference>

Whoa, I'm actually working on a flyer for a regular Wednesday night thing right now!
That said, whaddya think of this:
Storm The Gates
Every Wednesday Night
Grange Park @ 8:30p, Prince's Gates (CNE) @8:45p
Sprints @ 9p
And if all goes well, last Wednesday of the month there's a contest with prizes.
