Well you get the general idea. Redraw the map in pedometer.
The route instructions are probably more useful than the map itself.

I had a nice ride downtown today as well hit urbane and cycle therapy nice place go there & buy a bike or two they have some great stuff.
I have the week off. So i'll have time to get downtown if the weather holds up ON Friday (not looking good) to make it down to C.M. if not Sunday for sure 1 year! Same bat time same bat channel? Change it up? Lets here some chit chat on that.
Cheers

Those pictures of the muscle men driving the ads for the muscle magazine are hilarious though.

I have to go around most cyclists and cars sitting at the shoulder anyway. At least its better than those fifth wheel versions where they drive around with the big ass sign on the trailer. Props to them for using bikes to make $.

Man those bike billboards should be outlawed....our streets are congested enough.
The roadways in downtown should be for moving people, I love the fairing on the front at the handlebar level, like it's going to do anything, hilarious. I wouldn't mind getting my hand on a trike version to make a cargo bike. lol. Do I have to wear orange coveralls to ride one those. Even more useless than pedicabs. All for advertising, nothing actually gets moved on the street. BAN 'em.... too dangerous for the likes of our streets. I can see the pedicab trying to pass, or vice versa and then the road rage fist fight between them lol.
Man drivers hate us enough as it is, imagine how pissed they will be getting trapped behind one of those bad boys.

ugh.. I've had a bad bike karma 24 hours.
-when I tried to leave work I realized I had a flat rear tire. replace tube, inflate, yadda yadda
-start riding, hear a new jingly noise. pull over, jiggle bike around trying to locate the source. can't find it. give up, keep riding.
-get to St. Claire and notice back wheel now has a lot of play in the hub. Get off, take out 15mm wrench. Tighten down hub locknut(?)
-get to my friend's place.. decide to try and locate jingly noise again. notice that a metal "sleeve" (spacer?) on the axle between the locknut and the outside "nut" (the part that contacts the inside of the dropout). I never noticed it before, but I think it's causing the noise.
-decide to remove rear wheel again to try and fix things. Put Park 15mm wrench on drive-side nut, apply force, wrench goes through nut like butter totally shearing through one "corner" or the nut.
-give up again, go drink beer and eat steak.
-ride home
-sleep
-go to ride to work.. notice back wheel needs more air, but I've already left the house (and my floor pump). Try to get more air in with my frame pump. Hate life.
-riding along bloor, resist pedals to slow down, pedals slip backwards half a rotation. wtf? check locknut, totally loose. do my best to tighten it using a combination of my hands and the edge of my wrench. use brake (which I might add needs serious adjustment.. guess I don't use it much) the rest of the way.
*sigh*

The very first ones.... the cleat was monster.... you could slide on it on a foot down hard turn if you had to it was designed to function well AND to last forever which is exactly what it did. Now I need new shoes because it's not compatible with the new ATAC cleats. When I bought mine Time and Shimano were gettin ready for their big head to head in this market. Time must have realized that having a proprietary cleat/bolt pattern would not do. I did however get the first pair of Sierra pedals and shoes as a combo for .....wait for it.....200$ from Racer Sportif. Now, designed to wear out and fail faster, the new one I bought is totally wimpy in comparison, designed for obsolescence...BUT it bidness so no surprises there. I'm just bummed the design changed so much I need to drop 200-300 bucks on new shoes. That wasn't in the plan at all.
Even with my old cleat being 12 years old it still had more metal than these new ones.
He asked me if it was ATAC road or MTN ....what's the difference? Are ATACs different for the road vs mtn? Ultimately the plan is for Times on all bikes and one pair of shoes.

I still want one for a cargo bike though. That baby'll carry at least a keg or two. I'm gonna email them. lol A larger fork and 26er's please. Well, I was thinkin' not just the other day.... 'You know... I simply don't see enough advertising here in the core. I need more....' I wish people would put as much thought into making this place a better city as they do figuring out new garbage can and bike designs to hold billboards.

If you did I missed it..... thanks but no, I've managed to wreck the mini screw holes on the bottom of the one shoe so now it's ****ed. Besides I can't keep running around looking for antique gear, old school or not. Besides if I'm running on all ancient gear it'll be far too embarrassing for you lot being left behind. I'm only thinkin' of you guys.....

road shoes are a different story as the cleat bolts right to the bottom of the sole...
and if you're hyped on schooling us with your antique gear, we'll just have to show up in clips n' straps (or a high-wheeler) and take YOU to school!

wooohooo that would be fun..... you know of course i'm blowin smoke and having fun...
Never even thought about going into the shoe.
Mine has this separator that runs done the middle of the sole, if you've got the old atacs you know what I mean.... It might just be time for a new set O shoes.
