Good tips re: remembering threads heh. Great idea to use the chain as a guard, too - if I remember I actually had the chain off for last swap... doh
Looks like a cruddy day out there, I'll remember budget booties this time though

Cruddy doesn't do it any justice.. it's horrendous out. The wind is viciously gusty. The fact that I bashed my knee last night in the Don didn't help matters either.

In concurrence, today sucks wallops. Not to mention the fact that lacking rain gear kept me off wheels.

Saturday = Computrainer ride.
Sunday = sloppy race at the Icebreaker.
Stayin' off the bike is for chumps.
Also, bro/pro deals through the team is for anti-chumps.

Does anyone have a bike box kicking around that I could borrow/haz for my flight to Boston on Monday?Maybe some plastic axle ends? Cardboard is great.
I painted my fork real good and fired it in the oven for a bit to harden the pain. It came out so nice, but the only problem was that I didn't account for the expansionary properties of metal (I assume). It slipped out of the mint position I had it in at the start contributing to some marring the dropouts. Don't forget your science folks. I went to the paint store to get some clear coat but found that it has "carcinogenic" properties. No dice. Happy Friday!

nerdsgirth: I have a cardboard bike box at my house waiting for recycling day. You're welcome to that, if that's what you're looking for. Otherwise Velotique rents the Tri-Co IronCase for $40/wk or something. It's even a Swobo box so you get street-cred. (no, I didn't buy a Swobo bike.. it's what Mike's Bianchi was packed in).

Edit: yes indeed the wind sucks large balls, I didn't mind the rain since I had on my full suit (all British pattern DPM camo ) - that and the train was a good 30 mins late in the end, I guess it's bound to happen.

lol TJ - I get some funny looks, on the street, in Union and on the train itself heh. My budget bag booties probably set it all off, too
My weekend will be a Rob Roy build + possible work on Sunday, I'd also like to get some clean and tidying done in my kitchen, there's still fallout in there from my baking last weekend (Oatmeal cookies are kickass when fresh though). I plan on sleeping more than 6 hours each night too.

my daughters have been asking me to teach them to cook. Shnitzel in my family is know as "The Meal", made with chicken..I have issues with veal. It'll dust the kitchen in flour nicely.

Welcome to scouring viewit.ca and craigslist ALL DAY LONG for a month or two. We literally sent out emails daily for a couple of months and saw close to 10 places. Beware the "two bedroom" that's actually a one bedroom with no living room.

my girlfriend lacks such insight, and our "one bedroom" is a kitchen-livingroom-hall with a bathroom off the closet-bedroom.
i wake up under her clothes, depending which way i roll off the bed im in the kitchen or the bathroom.

I bailed on the ride to work today. Had no desire to ride in the bus/bike/cab lane for 45 minutes getting drenched by buses every 3 minutes. Also too tired from the 50km I did yesterday to work, to catering and then home.
