It would seem the quick and easy exchange period is over. Going over a bit of the legalese documents on the settlement site it's looking like a hassle factor of 10. That's what I get for not paying attention to things:rolleyes: , hmmmmm a new lock. Shoes first. I'm in town for the weekend I might go checkout the track with the kids. Speaking of pasting peds. Do you find your "GGGGaahhhh!" riding options are more limited by being fixed? This is the type of situation that freaks me out when I think of running fixed on the street. |

I can imagine, popping out from inside traffic. It's always nerve wracking seeing a ped in the cars. Bloody fools....maybe she'l look next time.

quick question..... years ago when I bought my monster Krypto lock it came with a 2500$ guarantee. NOw that it could be possible to open it with a 5cent bic pen does the guarantee still hold? I see the new ones have the flat key. |

Edit: Krypto guarantee wise, I think it's pretty useless. The specific circumstances in which you can put a claim on the guarantee is extremely limited. |

The guarantee on this product is null and void if someone actually manages to open the lock with anything other than the key. It is also null and void if someone uses a grinder to cut it off. BUT if they use a hacksaw from home depot, we GUARANTEE the security of our product. :lol:

THE KRYPTO LOCK
Ok..if you are having trouble let me know and I will call them about exchanging that thing. In the very least they might just send you a shackle. I had to go through some crap with them on a brand new flat key lock I sold.. thing just failed, key stuck in the cylinder etc.. I still have that lock to send back actually. Worst case is they might want u to pay shipping, some of there locks just needed a new shackle, some I guess u end up with a new lock.. let me know. Bit of hassle but im sure I can expedit it for u. |
Well I've had it for years ....ages in fact. I need to see if I can pop it open with a pen. then I'll just get a new lock.

I used to have a non-Kryptonite U-lock and I opened it with a pen but it completely screwed up the tumblers in the locking mechanism, so I had to get a new lock anyway...
Beware if your lock has a round keyhole, it can most likely be opened with a pen, even if it's not a Kryptonite lock. |
it does..... krypto evolution2000...hmm maybe I shouldn't try to pop it open then.
