anyone here know anything about Endura cycle wear? i'm looking for some waterproof pants and from what i can see online they look really nice (the british know all about rain!), but i've never really seen them in the flesh.

I have some Gore Bikewear pants that I love. I got em from a friend in Vienna and don't think anyone local sells em. If you can get em I HIGHLY recommend them.

how do they fit? if i remember you're a tall guy like me (6'3"). the last pair of MEC waterproofs i bought left my ankles soaked.

All of their stuff is cut nice and long for cycling. They have 2 different styles of pants...full Goretex, kind of baggy with ankle zips and velcro. Lycra base with Goretex front panels...these fit like normal tight's. I have the latter and love them. I have a different pair of full Gore for winter/deluge type conditions. Full waterproof ones I find way too hot for anything but cold conditions.

It's going to be very cold when it stops raining.

somnambulant 05-16-06 12:26 PM

you look at the weekend forecast on Tuesday? there's your first mistake. :)

If you aren't going to ride this weekend you might want to go down for the Niagara Classic road race. There is a sick steep climb on the finish straight that usually has everyone drooling/hacking all over themselves. Add in a potentially rainy day and that makes for some great action shots.

Does anybody know anyone who'd want to buy a 14'' Surly 1x1?

Really though. Anybody got a short friend? I need to sell this bike so I can build up the Gardin and not bankrupt my poor student ass.

horror movies seem to do that, make a franchise out of one character. chucky springs to mind. nothing wrong with a little person in full body make up, that's good watchin'. remember howard the duck? quality.

Good luck.

sr20det 05-16-06 02:27 PM

don't forget canadian cyclist.
or just post it up on LBS bulletins.
I'd go w/ ebay for the very last resort. You can always try to trade the frame for parts.

I just got back from my first day working at scotiabank real-estate at 61 front street. They already have me sifting through lease agreements! Heres to a year-long contract of this 9-5 stuff! At least I'm earning more than ever, so maybe I should work towards a nice italian road bike. Fixed is fun and all, but anything over a century is really best left to gears (but big props to somnambulant and eyefloater anyways)

STEEKER 05-16-06 03:35 PM

A century on a Fixed would be awesome indeed very hard core ( for me anyway's) a Century with gears is easy

TRaffic Jammer 05-16-06 05:22 PM

Easy? How long?

STEEKER 05-16-06 05:27 PM

Century with gears is easy have'nt done one on a fixed yet still waiting for the Doctor's to firgure out my back once that done you'll help me get back in shape then we'll do a Century on the fixies
