Where does the radio go though? What kind of cheesy assed bike doesn't have a radio mount?

Wednesday is beef patty and coco bread day. Patty King for lunch... well at least a patty with bread and a coke for 2bucks.
I have a store credit for a clothing store in Kensington so I'll pop in there and have a peek.

i dunno, all i saw was red blinking lights in front of me. if i want to keep up maybe i should use a higher gear and drink less beer....hey that rhymes...but it's not going to happen, at least the beer part.

i'm a 42x16 man (18 on the other side of the hub) as well (around 71 gear inches on 700c wheels). wouldn't want anything higher for the 100km+ rides. some of the long climbs up the oak ridges moraine would not go so well in higher gears...

cadence? on a 42/16 you must be pumpin pretty fast to get 35....
How bout' you Illmitch, I hear you're a rocket....you running a 46-16?

No fair racing around if not all runnin' the same gearing.
A few teeth can make a world of difference.

i don't know about steeker, but i'm comfortable cruising close to 30km/hr at about 90-100rpm.

here's something that may help figure out cadence. it's in imperial measurements but easy enough to convert.

any techies here want to take a stab at changing the program to read speed in metric?

I remember hittin 50k on my ss sprinting in traffic.... I couldn't have been runnin a 42, doesn't seem possible. Must have been a 46, had a bmx freewheel on it. I did/do try to spin fast though.

48-18 for 71gear inch lot's of get up & go but spin out easy, however great on hills! Looking at geting a 17t cog for around 75 gear inch happy medium.
Cheers

I can hold up to 40kph. Then it gets iffy. Short interval up to 52 but that's my hard limit. That page is getting h4x0red in a minute.

New and improved cadence calculator it is: http://ca.geocities.com/socheung@rogers.com/ftw.htm

42x15 FTW! I still spin like a weaver trying to keep up with some of you guys.

Thats like 2.8:1 ratio.

Some of you's are running well over 3:1
i don't know how you guys can even start from a stop.

These gear inches.. they don't make any sense to me.

42x16 is like 2.65:1 ratio. Nice and easy.

A 17tooth cog is going to be hard to find unless you buy nice nice things. eg... EA import, Phils, Surly.

Durace don't make a 17

that one is super fast and I am told by bent riders that low ones are easy on hills once you get your bent legs,, you never come out on rides and that makes me the oldest one there

basically gear inches means one revolution of the pedals will proper the bike X inches. The charts are not exact but gets you in the ballpark. Tire size does affect this.

Thats a bad ass recumbant Steeker.. FRONT WHEEL DRIVE! mad sexy with disc brakes and rear suspension!
I don't really understand why they have the feet so high up.. it's like you're looking at your feet and not the road. Weird.
