Hey Toronto Fixed Gear riders:

I was going to put this thread into the Regional Subforums as I think it would be better served there and that is pretty much the purpose of that area. I know this is a pretty Fixed Gear specific thread and it is really helpful, but what are you thoughts on opening it up to the Regional Subforums? PM me your thoughts and concerns on this. The placement of this thread will be based on your thoughtful input.
Thanks again!

So I was riding down Kensington and almost got doored by this pubtard. And get this, he wanted to beat ME up after I told him he was a ****ing ******* for almost killing me.

Note to self. Pay attention to door range. Should've went back and shanked his car. What a moron.

/rant off

Shanking, defacing or otherwise mauling sheet metal will get you killed Op. Take the lane instead.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking. There were some road bikes, lower end mountain bikes, a few free ride bikes and a bunch of hybrids. 30% off bikes, 40% off accessories. Not a whole lot in the acc. dept unless you're looking for something really specific. I wouldn't bother, personally. You could probably get as good a deal at the Bike Show.

Do you have a chiropractor? I met a super awesome one that volunteered on the Bike Rally. I like throwing business to good people.

Nashbar uses FEDEX to ship so I decided to order 1 (one) hub. Hopefully it'll clear customs with a declared value of slightly over $20CAD without getting hit with associated brokerages.

Wow, I bought my first serious bicycle off of them years ago but yeah, they suffer from a bad location for higher-end stuff. If any of you guys do go up there check out High Park Cycles, just down the street from McBrides, to have your mind blown by the old track stuff and old Italian frames. Just don't take anything the owner says at face value, he is a nutter.

edit: I wouldn't mind the move, [165], whatever works best

So what do people think of moving this thread to a regional subforum? I've emailed 165 and he suggested a locked sticky in fixed/ss so people in the big smoke could find us (which was my concern). I'm wondering if there's a down side and what exactly the upside is apart from the 500 lb gorilla the thread has become and trying to keep stuff organized er what. hey?

I'm against moving it. The regional subforums has zero traffic.

oh dear lord that guy in high park cycles is crazy and truly frustrating to deal with if you actually need work done (you should watch him run to his bench vise to get a lockring off). also creepy: i didn't see a single repair stand in his shop. i live around the corner and i'd still rather cross town to work done at cavern or urbane.
but yes it is a museum of cycling lore to marvel at. a while ago he had an original raliegh carlton track bike with 27" sew ups and a fully campy track kit on it. was it for sale? who knows...
