My Steve Rex. Just put on a Selle Anatomica saddle. I've got a 206 mile 20k' double century coming up on the 25th and am hoping this saddle is pleasant at mile 180. The 143mm Romin I had on before wasn't.

I tried the whole "put everything in your jersey pocket" thing...but I just didn't like the feel of it. I don't carry a ton, but I have some small stuff like a multi-tool and some quick patches along with a tube and a CO2/pump combo. Combine that with a wallet and a phone....it's just too much in the small of my back. And it doesn't leave much room if I need to take off a vest or warmers, etc... Sweet lookin' C-dale by the way!!!

My Steve Rex at the summit of Mt. Diablo last summer:
Edit: Depending on the ride, the saddle bag may be bigger or smaller, and the "bento bag" may appear or disappear.

I'm an instructor for a physics lab and I don't like to leave my bike outside while I teach, so there she remains.

Beautiful Steve Rex. I used to build filet braze steel frames many moons ago....it's a look that in my mind will never ever be topped by anything.

Welp, this thread has convinced me that my saddle bag looks like poo and I need a more svelte implementation, much like Trsnrtr's excellent Giant example.

Not that, even staged, it's even close to good enough for Hot r Not but here it is at the halfway point of a recent ride around Amelia Island, FL:

my bike would only have a couple h20 bottle added from a "staged" shot..well maybe a fly6 blinky/cam too. I don't use a saddlebag

This is how she rides, commute or distance. I prefer having everything i need for the ride prepped so i can grab and go.
