    Vinyl your road bike.

My initial project was to build a Supersix Evo, and bought the Red 22 in green.
Now that I moved on and got the R3, the green on the Red 22 irritates me to no ends.

I am thinking of cutting small pieces of blue vinyl to cover the greens.

Anyone have experience with vinyl on their bike, what type of vinyl to use and where is a good place to get them online or local in Toronto?

You also could use Nail Polish.

A guy I knew once used pink nail polish to repaint the red on Sram Red derailleurs to match the pink on his girlfriend's bike. I'm not a huge fan of pink, but it looked nice.

Not sure why someone would want to use nail enamel on a bike. Why not just go to your LPS (Local Paint Store) and get a small sample of the color in an appropriate type of paint? Using nail polish to paint things (other than finger/toe nails) is equivalent to using thumb tacks for hanging framed pictures.

I have considered stripping all the paint from my bike frame and having it airbrushed. That would look super cool and wouldn't have all the branding on it.

Have your bike pin striped by a professional. That will change the appearance and introduce new color for a new look.

I was not a fan of the red and light blue logo's on the Pacenti SL23 rims. So I removed 2 of the 3 stickers on each side of my wheels, and covered the third with a 'shark fin' shaped piece I cut from some white 3M reflective tape. Turned out okay. I'll see if I can grab/post an 'after' pic.

I am disappointed - I had hoped you meant covering the entire bike with something like this Orion 3d Black Carbon Fiber Vinyl Wrap, because I'm curious about how well that would work out.

That is an interesting suggestion. I may try that if the price is right.

I'm not sure what you mean by vinyl. Are you talking about electrical tape? How is plain vinyl supposed to stick?

BTW, the look will be atrocious. You can't take a nice bike and cock it up with colored patches and expect a good result. Sell the group on ebay and replace it with one you like.

I will trade you my mixed sram for that, pure black/3k carbon. Only thing is that is a 10 speed configuration. (not serious)

I also had an idea/interest in a full vinyl application to the frame, I think it would be to tricky with the areas connecting the tubes. I am sure that some one who makes a living do it to cars could make it look alright. But probably too expensive, way more than painting it.
