Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I mean what the heck do these guys know when then can do it themselves? We know, from reading here, that this is all a load of crapola.

Just looking at the rider on the screen before the video starts was enough for me. I don't want to be in the aero position on the tops with a 5 inch bar drop.

ya, like going to the optometrist.

optomitrist: "is this better or is this better", etc, etc, etc, ad infinitum... how hard is that?

LOL...I knew this was over the heads of the "41 Think Tankers"...

Did you see that screen in front of the rider? As they make the adjustments they can look to see outputs. I know, it's complicated and stuff.

I guess that's why they can ride for 6 hours at close to 30 mph and make a real nice living doing it.

Heck, I'm surprised a couple actually had the attention span to watch the video. chuckling...

I love this place,. It never fails to make me smile.

doing the adjustments and getting power data in real time is neat. but as ever, the maxim holds. bikes - somewhat adjustable. bodies - somewhat adaptable

I had a Retul fitting using the Guru equipment. It is amazing. The fitter makes adjustments to the bike while your pedalling and watches, both real time and through video, how they affects performance. It also measures power to each foot so it picks up all the things that aren't apparent through just looking or feeling.

After several months of riding I am more comfortable, don't have all the aches and pains I used to, and people notice I look more efficient

It really is a great system for those that understand that to maximize performance, setup is critical. Guys who make their living racing know this. Sounds like you had a great experience. It is interesting to watch your numbers change as the fit gets adjusted.

But, you know...some folks still think the moon shots were faked and pro wrestling is real...
