Anyone on the Specialized Power saddle yet?

I actually deal with an out of town Specialized dealer that had stock in the width I needed. The Specialized dealer in town that I called did not mention having this saddle when I was looking for options.

I just put one of these on my wife's bike. If it was the right width for me I'd probably steal it. I ride the romin evo and next time I buy a saddle, it will be this one. The way I was told to set it up (based on design) was to level the saddle the way you normally would, and then drop the nose down about 4 degrees. Seems to be working for her so far and when I tested the bike it definitely felt comfortable. Just as comfortable as my romin evo, but more so when rolling forward to be in the drops.
The weirdest thing just from sitting on it was that the "boys" were just dangling free. I mean they are usually resting on the nose but they were ahead of the nose, with nothing obstructing them. Very weird feeling. Of course this was in gym shorts and everything was not tucked away in bibs. I'll report back after I get a 30mi ride in.

I was on a Specialized Phenom and it felt alright. After an hour my sit bones started to ache a bit but just minor discomfort. I did have a small amount of numbness though so I thought I'd try out the Power.
After only 10 minutes I have pretty bad sit bone aching. I have the 155 Expert and it almost feels like there's too much padding (would that cause discomfort so quickly?)?
I might try out the Pro version (less padding) and see if that makes a difference (although it'll have to be ordered so I might demo an SLR Superflow L/Aliante VSX/Antares VSX while I wait for it to come in).

Driving down the road, imagining my boys dangling in the breeze unobstructed, some mental pictures a wife would not understand :-)

The dealer I purchased the saddle from. Someone I used to work with. I've since moved it up a degree. The idea is that with something like the romin, the nose would be there and when leveling it would help keep the level up, but with the nose missing you need to compensate.

Saddle feels pretty good so far, but I'm finding it a little difficult to dial in the right spot to sit on. Are you supposed to sit closer to the rear and be supported fully on the wide area? Sometimes I tend to be more comfortable in the middle further towards the nose. This affects the proper fore aft placement.

How are you guys setting this up? Trying a narrower carbon shelled version now. Do you just subtract the nose length from the previous saddle? My old saddle was 7cm behind bb and this one is now about 10 to attempt to create the same seating area. It is almost slammed to the front of the rails though and im getting substantial pressure on the hands.

1. Put bike on trainer and ensure wheels are level.
2. Ride trainer at 80% effort in the drops.
3. Keeping back angle the same, remove hands from drops and place behind your lower back.
If you fall forward, move your seat back. If you can ride indefinitely without falling forward, slide your seat forward. The sweet spot is the point at which you can maintain your back angle (i.e. same position as if your hands were in the drops) without falling forward, but it requires some effort to keep yourself from falling forward.
Obviously adjusting your set back may require you to reassess your saddle height.

Can a Spesh expert answer this to me:
Other than the weight, why would I just not buy the Sitero instead of the Power?
They emphasize being on an aggressive position on the Power, so doesn't the sitero TT saddle address that issue?

Not an expert, but they're very different saddles. The Sitero is a TT-only saddle while the Power can be used for both TT bikes and an aggressive position on a road bike. The Power also comes in at least two different widths. Mine's a 155mm.

I've never put my Sitero on my road bike, but I highly doubt it's a comfortable as the Power in the drops for a long race. My "aggressive" position is quite different on a TT bike then it is on a Road Bike in the drops.

Resurrecting this old thread that appears to have degraded into some bizarre argument...... Anyway.
I purchased the 143 mm Power saddle and really enjoyed it in the drops but it felt a little narrow for me when riding more relaxed. I exchanged it for the 155 today hopefully it works out as the short nose and cutout has completely eliminated any perineum pain that was a constant with my prior Fizik Arione tri saddle. That saddle was always too narrow for me and only felt okay when I was very aggressively positioned. My sit bones are kind of freakish for a male at 140-145 mm wide so on the high end for even the 155. They do offer a 168mm but I'd really prefer not to be that wide if i'm somewhere in the middle.
Pics for proof:

You may, however, see posts such as:
"More leg strength will put more of your weight on the pedals and less of it on the saddle."
"Saddle problems with me have always gone away after a well timed and well paced htfu period."
After one develops the appropriate leg and core strength and a good riding position, ones saddle becomes fairly insignificant. The problem is that all too many riders would rather spend time looking for a saddle than doing enough quality miles on the bike.
I ride with the strongest cyclists in my area. We talk about bikes a lot. We never talk about saddles. Never. Let that sink in for a while..

What up, ShowTime!
That is striking, and I gotta give it to you if you're comfortable blazing around on that thing all the time. Sometimes, I could see; but probably you have another bike or two to mix it up?
I'm just sayin', I bet that garners a lot of looks, which would make-- for me-- it very hard to hold it to L2 on the easy days!

I put one on my bike for trainer season -- my Romin Evo is fine on the road, but torture on the trainer.
So far it has met my expectations -- long rides without numbness. I did a couple of nearly 3 hour rides this past weekend without any numbness problems.

As data point, with regards to creaking, how heavy are you? My Power Pro 143mm doesn't creak with my ~138lbs butt

210, 155mm. I'm riding rollers this time of year (which is why I switched saddles in the first place) and while on the bars, it creaks with cadance. But if I sit upright and ride with no hands, no noise. (No hands on rollers with the Power is quite the challenge as I tend to slide forward and there's little to grip!)
