Anyone on the Specialized Power saddle yet?
It certainly sounds like it'll work for what I'm trying to do (moar drop/aero) but I can't find it on demo in my immediate area. I'm riding a Toupe 143 now and deep in the drops I can tell I'd like more of a cutout.

I've got a couple rides on one. Love it when low in the drops. Not sure about it when riding more upright. I hope to get a long ride in this weekend which will be a better test.

@grwoolf What's your seat to bar drop? Any pics of your ride?
Also yes there are starting to be sensors in your saddle to let you log your sitting vs standing.

I think the camera angle is making it look like a little more drop than there really is. I've got a couple spacers in there. It's my race bike, but it's still set up for comfort. I've also got a Roubaix and I run it a 1-2 cm's higher (no spacers, but a much taller head tube).

Running one on my Allez and so far I am very happy. Feels best when in the drops but not bad when on the hoods. Not as cushy as my Phenom was. Think I will keep it.

have had it nearly a month now.. did a century the week after I got it with no taint issues. I do indeed like the larger cutout and it allows me to roll my hips more in the saddle. I ended up with the S-Works version and it's a winner for me.

I'm using one on my TT bike. It's a vast improvement over the POS that was on it originally, both on the horns and on the extensions.

I did a 60 mile ride with it this morning. Had some numbness. I'll probably play with the setup a little more and give it a fair shot, but I think I'll be sticking with my romain evo

I've got about 300 miles on mine and two crits. I came from a Toupe. i'm liking this saddle very much. No complaints so far. I'm running the nose level to the ground. Feels great in the drops or the hoods.

I had the OEM Velo version of the Nashbar FR1 saddle for a while. It was too narrow for me, and the padding was a bit thick. There was considerable discomfort after a 50 mile ride. But saddles are a very personal issue. What works for me may not work for the next guy.

Probably not everyones cup of tea, but the FR1 just works for me. 2 1/2 years on it and no looking back. Padding is somewhat thick but it's firm and has not deteriorated.
The Specialized might work for me too. I don't think I'll be trying it as it's exponentially more expensive than the Nashbar. And for what (?)

And for what?? For a saddle that allows me to ride the drops and the hoods in comfort. A comfortable saddle is priceless to me.

I've ridden mine about 200 miles so far. Best saddle for me. No numbness like I had on my Bontrager saddle. It's a keeper as far as I'm concerned.

That saddle's making me itch right now. I use a Toupe for my main race bike, Romin Evo for my backup and Romin on my MTB. I love Spesh saddles, they just work for me.

They each have the same small variation on a one hundred+ year old design. A "racing bike" saddle with a large cutout. Maybe the materials are different but the 2 saddles are very similar. Not completely different. Nope.
