Rocky Mountain Solo 30 any Good ?

Looking at buying this used Rocky Mountain Solo AL:30 Ultegra/105 road bike. Road biking is fairly new to me and I am starting off participating in a couple relay triathlons this summer.

Just want to know if anyone has any experience with this bike? Below is link to listing for bike

Also they are asking $700CDN for bike. Is that reasonable ? Too much ?

    Don't rush us here.

But assuming $700 cnd is about $500 usd, I'd offer them $100 less. But their asking price isn't unreasonable in my opinion.

Yeah that's what I was thinking.

Anyone have any feedback on the bike itself ?

Yeah it's at least 4-5 years old. But that offer I think would be insulting based on his offering price and market value of bikes here in Vancouver

2007 Solo30 came with a carbon seat stay.
    2007 Rocky Mountain Solo 30 - BikePedia
    It's even older
2005 Rocky Mountain Solo AL:30 Ultegra - BikePedia

imo, 700$ for a 10 year old bike is expensive...

How would this bike compare to say the Giant Defy 3. Keeping in mind I could probably get the Rocky Solo for about $600CDN no tax and the Defy 3 is almost $1100CDN with tax. Is it worth the extra $500 ? Thanks!!
