Road Cycling It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle. -- Ernest Hemingway

Battaglin Spider - Campa Mirage 9 speed. Yes or no?

Hey there,

so, after a friend checked the Koga (yesterdays post) with me, we know now that whoever "repaired" the shifter totally screwed up the entire system. Friend guesses the repair costs are sumwhere around 200 $. Meaning, that bike is out :/.

BUT here is the next deal Im offered and since I really apperciated yesterdays advice, here Im again .

A Battaglin Spider, equipped with full Campa Mirage 9 speed and - not been there but the guy selling it is a bike dealer - technically intact.

Offer is ~480 $, 64 frame (Im roughly 2 meters so thats fine)

Comments?

Regards

I'd be inclined to go campy for the repairability of the drivetrain. That $200 breakdown of yours would cost under $50 to repair.
