Are there Clothing Companies that will not fit Unless you have an Athletic build?
Just out of curiosity, has anyone found that there are clothing manufacturers whose clothing is only meant for the higher athletic build than someone who could shed a few?
For me, I love the look of Castelli and understand they make a quality product but for the life of me, I have yet to find some of their line to fit.
Now, I do wear De Marchi and Santini, both Italuian brands as well and tend to lean towards Euro sizing. I am currently 200lbs, 6'1" with a 41" chest (but find most cycling tops in a 44" fit better) and a 37" waist. I then to grad XL or XXL depending on cut and brand. Castelli in XXL definitely hasn't fit in bib shorts, tights nor jerseys. I also have some Sugoi and Pi but these are more American fit and some LG
Thought ( besides lose the gut).
I will say that I am losing weight and have as a reward that when I have permanently crossed the 188 lb threshold and fall in the 'normal' range, I will be treating myself to a Assos, Rapha and/or Castelli item or two.

I'm a fit guy and I have to look hard to find a jersey that fits me. I'm convinced most of them are made for fatties, so stop complaining!

I like Cappo jersies for their forgiving fit. Despite having a belly, I do want a tight-fitting jersey that doesn't blow in the wind like a sail. It's a tough line to walk, but I have two Cappos that fit well.
