Used bib shorts? How to clean
I know this is going to get some cring but... Recently A friend gave meused pair of bibs that were donated to him along with a ton of other clothes. could I get any skin infections or nasty stuff from wearing the shorts even if I wash them? And is there any special way I should disinfect them or should I just throw them in the washer like my other shorts?

There was just a big thread about this. I think it was how to wash bibs, or something.
If you're asking, I think you'd be o.k. with a wash and wear. Otherwise, you would have tossed them.

If they're made with a wicking fabric, nasty bacteria could be lurking in the same areas of the fabric that soak up sweat, especially if they (it?) smells funky. There are specially made washing products to deal with this, or you could soak them in a vinegar solution overnight and then wash them - maybe a cup of vinegar to a gallon of water(?).
The vinegar takes out the funky smell. The wash takes out the vinegar smell.
Vinegar is, apparently, a magic potion.

I have no problem wearing someone underwear assuming it is cleaned first. You guys that get all squirmy about this are overthinking your germs. This conversation could easily turn to the advisability of shaking hands, attending a concert at the elementary school, riding the subway, holy cow germs are everywhere!
