Sweat on filling my eyes

This problem is self correcting. When the sweat goes in your eyes, the result is tears. Which are supposed to be in there....
I go for the Halo band myself, but you can overwhelm any system.

I have Halo Band, It gives me headache because it is too tight. I may have to stretch it more. I just bought a gutr from performance. I am eyeing the Pearl Izumi skull cap, it feels like that is the solution. However, I have to wait, I just drop $140 with some gatorskin hardshell, tubes and the gutr. Rolled up Handkerchief seem to be annoying to keep rolling it up, it is very spacious in the head and interfere much with the helmet - I tried this morning.

+1 for the Halo headband. I used to really suffer on long summer rides when the sweat would run into my eyes and blind me at the worst possible times.
As mentioned above, though, any system can be overwhelmed, and it's a good idea to wash/rinse the salt out of your headband regularly. Getting caught in a rainstorm will drive all of that lingering salt into your eyes, too...

I throw an extra headband or two in a ziplock bag and keep them in my jersey. On hot humid days I switch them out during my ride once they get saturated.

I use a halo and it works well up to saturation. Once that happens then you get a waterfall down your face until you stop and wring it out, then good to go for a few more minutes.
Even without glasses I have major sweat issues...I just try to stay moving as much as possible.

I use the HeadSweats Shorty do-rag. Works great year round and comes in various colors to match your helmet.

Am I the only one that wears a cycling cap? I know they are kind of dorky but it keeps the sun on my forehead and keep the waterfall of sweat a few inches from my face. I sweat a lot and that's the only thing I've been able to find that works for the most part. Halo didn't work for me at all so I've just rocked the caps for the last 5 years.

Halo head band. I bike in low humidity and heat and it generally does not get saturated. They are cheap enough you can carry a second one. Rinse the saturated one and let it fly and dry while you ride.

OK, in reality, I use a Sweatvac Ventillator cap and headbands and they work great.

I used my Halo this morning just to reacquaint myself with the reasons I abandoned it. Now admittedly I used it on a treadmill, but the point is the same. After 20 minutes of running the cloth part became saturated. I still didn't have sweat dripping in my eyes, although my brow, below the band was starting to drip. But the part that bothered me was that it felt like I had this hot, warm compress wrapped around my head. Instead of feeling the breeze from the fan hitting the top part of my head, it felt very hot up there. I find it really uncomfortable trapping all of that sweat on my forehead & I doubt that there is a solution for me while cycling other than having nothing on my head but my helmet. At least then I can feel the wind whipping through the helmet, cooling my head. And without any sunglasses I can easily wipe my forehead & continue riding.

I tried the Sweat Gutr, didn't work well at all for me. Being on a road bike my head was tilted down most of the time, and the sweat would just drip over the edge of the channel and onto my glasses. I think it probably works much better for running when your head is upright and you don't have a helmet. Finding space for the channel between my eyebrows and helmet was also difficult.
Last year I switched to the Halo skullcap which is AWESOME!!! I'm in the South where 98% humidity in the mornings is almost a daily occurrence. My commute takes me 70-80 minutes, and I have very few sweat issues with the Halo cap. Yeah the little strip inside leaves a mark on my forehead, but that goes away within 20-30 minutes. Fitting the helmet over the thin skullcap is also easier than trying to fit it over/around the Gutr band.
Also I have found that my head actually feels cooler on hot days with the white skullcap underneath my helmet. I can't recommend it enough. My only complaint is that the cap is a bit too "deep" meaning it stretches down over the tops of my ears, so I have to fold/tuck it up behind the tops of my ears. But that's a very minor issue.

Hello fellow cyclist friends,
I road bike train and commute to work it has been humid lately in California and I have been dripping sweat.
The sweat goes to my eyes and it is very frustrating. My sunglasses gets very cloudy from the dripping sweat.
Anyone here have solutions in here that maybe can help me?
Maybe a product I can buy?
Skull cap it does make you more hot?
Headband makes very uncomfortable for my Lazer helmet? or maybe a better headband you can recommend?
What do you guys do... any suggestion would be great.

Headsweats Classic - $12 from Nashbar - it looks like it has more fabric than the Shorty, which I expect means more absorbent. Also the tails hang below my helmet so wind can evaporate moisture better than a skullcap can. At least that's what logic indicate.
I stop every so often and wring it out if I have to. I'll wash it out mid-ride, if I stop where I can get water.

Cycling cap for me, but I do have a cool max sweat band for under helmet use.
My vintage Rudy Project Super Performance sunglasses has a sweat pad near the brow of the frames.

I ride in Houston - temperature and humidity in the 90s - and sweat blinds me. I just tried one of those Headsweats skull cap things. It filled up with sweat quickly, then drained it all over my eyes. It also blocked air flow over my head, making my brain hot. Hot brain bad.

So I return the gutr to performance. I replace it with Pearl Izumi skull cap. The skull cap seems to be really thin but it is working.
I had a bad experience with gutr. I used it to go to work 20 miles, and sweat drips on my eyes around 10 miles, aaaah.
I got to work and my co-worker suggested to tightened it. I tightened it and rode back home. Around 7 miles on the way home, sweat dripping on my eyes, aaah. Not to mentioned a got a headache because of the tight gutr. I remove it after 7 miles.

Halo works the best in my experience. I have tried the rubber Gutter thing and it is ok but Halo works better.

I have the same issue. So far, a head band from Lululemon works the best. It absorbs large amount of sweat, and you can wring it out when it's saturated and it will work again, unlike Headsweat head bands. Sweat Gutr didn't work for me because my head position. Cycling cap didn't work for me either because it's normally made of cotton and it stop working as soon as I start sweating.

I've tried them all and IMO a good wicking cycling cap is best. The one I use most nowadays is a Hammer Nutrition cap made by Pace, and I wear the brim in back on sunny days to keep the sun off my neck. I don't like the Walts Caps because they bunch up too much on my forehead.

Suggesting that sweat in the eyes is a positive thing is really misleading. The sweat ends up with a much higher salt content when it gets in the eyes due to buildup on the skin, scalp, and in the helmet. Also it washes sunscreen off the forehead into the eyes. Whatever its true chemical composition, sweat running off the head and into the eyes is extremely painful. There is nothing natural or positive about it.
