Marcos Ambrose has returned to racing touring cars in Australia. At least, he tried. He's lost his touch with that genre and stood down after several races. Shame, really. He is a Tasmanian like me, and his successes, although limited in Nascar, meant his fan base was keen to see him do well back in the local racing scene.

Sept. 24: Grand Jury completes investigation. Ontario County District Attorney Michael Tantillo announces that no charges will be filed against Stewart: "The grand jury has determined that there is no basis to charge Tony Stewart with any crimes." Tantillo also announced at a 3 p.m. press conference that Ward was under the influence of marijuana the night he was killed by Stewart, according to toxicology reports.

I think there is still an ongoing lawsuit between the families.

How is Stewart's mindset these days after that speedway accident?

I am ready to ditch Avast! as my computer protector. I have been suspicious on more than several occasions about something and have run the free version of Malwarebytes, and Hey Presto! come up with various malware lodged in the system, including a bluddy trojan on the second-last MB scan!
I am thinking I might just run Malwarebytes every day, and ditch the full-time Avast! which seems to bog down loading a lot.
And seeing we are now connected with the new (cynically stated) "super-fast" national fibre-optic network here, I would like to see just how fast stuff can download.

He raced again after taking a month or so off after the death. But I haven't seen him featured in any of the small amount of coverage we get over here since then.
Danica, on the other hand, has been large with her pitlane confrontation.

GMO's become an issue here since crops like soy, clover, alfalfa, corn, etc have been genetically modified. Alfalfa and clover is a very desired honey. I don' buy into the GMO bunk, but that's another story. There's some strong similarities between the anti-GMO's and the 41. Neither one seems to consider the facts.

re: tony stewart - obviously i dont follow nascar either i was just curious since there was such a big buzz about it.
i went to one nascar race years ago ("only" a 300), and all 5 of us ended up falling asleep at some point. the sound the cars make at the start is something to behold, truly awesome if you like loud machines, but you can have the rest of it.
we use the free version of MB at work and it does a great job of finding and killing crap. the paid for version doesnt offer much that you dont get with the free version and we found it wasnt worth it

As stated, both sides generally (painting with the broad brush) don't look at or consider all the aspects.

The beekeepers usually locate the hives (supers) near a preferred crop such as clover or alfalfa to provide a good source of nectar and allow the bees to pollinate the crop. Nice symbiotic relationship. So the bees sometimes don't have many options of their food source.

We do have to time the introduction of the hives so the bees don't starve. They do have a range of around a mile and a half, but not much else is in bloom in the native bush at the same time except wattles.

I'd love to get on a fiber network. One company is making in-roads in Minneapolis and a rep knocked on my door last year. I was SO excited. Turns out the guy messed up - their fiber service in my area ends literally across the street from me. It may be years until they cross that street. As it is, I can consistently pull about 6-7MB/sec down, and about 1.2-1.5MB/sec up, though, so I'm okay with that for now.

...just did a brief survey of the mechanics forum hoping to find just one question where I might add some useful content. Instead, I find not one, but two Di2 threads.

I used to use Avast, mostly because they were the least obtrusive free solution. They they started becoming more and more obtrusive. About the time that I really started getting annoyed with Avast, Windows expanded their anti-malware and renamed it Defender. That's all that I've used in the last 5 or 6 years. The best thing that I can say about it is that it's never annoying. Oh, and my computer hasn't been hijacked.

The trojan horse malware discovery was of great concern at the time. Everything has been clean in the week since, though.

Get the panic call from my wife today just before lunch, water is gushing in the garage. First thought is the water heater. Rushed home, turned off the water and gas. Made several calls, found a few to quote and back with hot water again. So glad this didn't happen while we were out of town. Would have been a huge mess and a heck of a water bill. I was looking forward to riding tonight, but I'll make up for it tomorrow.

windows defender is 100% worthless. i have never seen it do anything but ask to run scans or update. ive run MB on machines that have found literally thousands of malicious files and defender was all "hi im steve! everythings great here!"
was just worried about a puncture the tire had in it and the bead itself holding a seal.
after a quick spin around the block and topping off the tires they havent lost any air at all in a few hours so im confident they sealed up just fine

...I believe one of them wants to know if he can set it up sans computer, as an upgrade. The other is something about mixing it with 7800 or some such nonsense. Someone will chime in with the appropriate bad advice. I'll check from time to time to see how many someones.

I'm pretty much convinced that Microsoft is pretty much just a massive trolling operation.
