Have him post a youtube of a clincher being inflated to 8 bar on those puppies!

I mean, sure I think you can get most clinchers to "fit" on most sewup rims but inflating them is something else entirely.

Just chill. Don't be angry. Dealing with the occasional nut is a part of doing business.

Make sure you put their name, address, email, phone on a list of people not to do future business with.

You should send him some profile cross section pictures of the difference between tubular and clincher rims (your favorite search engine should help you out here).

If he thinks those rims are clinchers then he may have got the definitions mixed up because there is no way that a clincher is going to stay on those rims.

I don't see what the problem is. The customer is clearly wrong. Just tell him so and forget about it.

Wierd.

Most of the tubular rims I've used had a basic round profile, but I like the indent for the stitching. Still, the V shape is a bit odd.

DEFINITELY TUBULAR RIMS THOUGH. And, the guy sent a photo too

Does your E-Bay ad show the V profile rather than a round profile of the rim?

Could the guy be confused between clinchers/tubeless/tubular?

Anyway, hopefully PayPal can sort it out. Or, you could send them this thread.

I actually had a problem with wheels I bought from a seller on eBay and both eBay and PayPal did nothing to help me so don't worry, you should be in the clear!

Yeah, I think the guy doesn't really know the difference and his "30 years of experience" is pure BS. The wheels in the photo are clearly tubular wheels. I'd love to see how he mounts a clincher tire on those rims and goes for a ride.

There is a difference between 30 years experience, and 1 year experience 30 times.
