Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

That's great, I'm guessing too that my new bike frame might be be a decent weight too as the stated weight is 7.2 kg with some ultega Di2 components, heavy-ish Fulcrum Quattro 35 wheels. So a few modifications might push the weight down to below 7k easy.

Try an aluminum stem with titanium bolts. Some carbon stems are heavier than you would think, some nearing 150-175 grams.

+1 That is one cheap way to save weight.

Great looking bike. That TCR would be on my list of bikes for sure if I was looking at the moment, but I am surprised they have stuck with the seat mast concept. I like it personally but the difficulties of resale are making it a tough sell for new buyers. Several of the bikes I am interested in as used bikes have seat masts but finding one that hasn't been cut too short is very difficult. I've seen the same Ridely Noah for sale locally for almost a year. I guess I like my seat a little higher in relation to my top tube length. I guess that would make me a good candidate to buy new and still be able to sell.

Suggests that one abould buy a smaller frame to be able to use a taller seatmast.

Most of the team order is in. 4 TCR Pro 1s and 2 TCRs SL2. What a fantastic bike! Highly recommended. Mine weighs 14.8 pounds as pictured (yellow). Includes powermeter hub, pedals, cages and k edge garmin holder.

Ridden a hundred miles and change so far... the bike is absolutely off the hook!!! I thought my SL was nearly perfect, this thing beats it hands down. Stiffness and lightness is the name of the game. The bike with fairly heavy components comes at less that 15 pounds. THat is about half a pound lighter than my previous SL with nearly identical components. The color is astonishing and it corners even better than the previous one. I have to say, I don't desire any other bike... if anything I feel like any other thing I ride will be a downgrade. Superb bike by Giant, they really outdid themselves this time around

PS: I love my Rabobank and it is currently in display on my livingroom wall, but this bike takes the prize.

to further creep on this bike, what kind of tire clearance does this jammer have with the 3.4s?

Did you weigh the frame and fork separately before assembly by any chance? No BB, no headset, just all hangers and the seatmast topper?

The black one with the green and blue paint is the TCR Advanced Pro 1. That color scheme is gorgeous. I'd love to have that bike.

Lovely bike, Luis. Couple observations. The stack on the '16 appears to be less than on the previous (Rabobank) model. Is that correct, or are you still adjusting the heigh? Also, what brand are the black water bottles on the seattube?

I bought the same bike (SL2) as Luis and have nothing but praise for it. Went up to the Gaps in GA and felt confident enough descending to take over a downhill strava KOM. Super stiff when charging out of saddle and carves corners like it's on rails. Only thing I didn't like was the saddle that I swapped out for the Arione VS I'm used to. Will also be transferring over Di2 drivetrain from my previous bike.

I am riding the SLR 1 wheels. I like them better than the Zipp 303 FC I was on before. Awesome braking in dry and works well wet too. I think the biggest difference is the stiffness. The wheelset is a big reason why the bike feels so good.

Anybody received their new TCRs yet??? I have only heard about my team getting them. So far we are all wowed.

Ordered a new TCR SLR stem to replace my SL stem. Also ordered a new S-Works Power Saddle to replace my snapped Toupe PRO. It will look SICK!

Good pic, but you are on the small ring, the tube stems are not perpendicular to the ground and the red bottle cages are weird...

Lots of love for the new TCR on the web. Guess it should be expected as Giant has been making great bike for years and all of them keep getting better.

Can you tell us about how the seat post mast works?...is seat height adjustable after the mast is cut?

Congrats Luis

I was watching a review video and they noted that you still have 25mm of adjustability after the mast is cut.
