Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I have a celeste Biancho Piaggio, does that count as a team color scheme bike?

Other than that, I have a UCSD team cycling jersey and some UCSD team socks.

I'm looking at the color scheme on the helmet and seeing orange and blue --- thought that would be similar to Florida or Syracuse. Bear w/ me, I'm getting old, so I may have missed something.

EDIT: I just realized that I'm being stupid *DUUUUHHHHH* I thought the colors on the helmet were the same as your school's.

gold and blue = UCLA?

That color scheme is Rabobank's..
But that could be a fill in for the Gators...

My team color scheme this year is easy. Black, red, white and grey. I wear a black helmet and some shiney Sidi shoes. Besides that I just wear the team jersey/bibs. And it goes along just fine with my black and white Bianchi.

Here's a pdf file of the kit for this year.

I like the Fassa Bartalo Atmos in terms of colors but I have no team kit of any type. One thing I don't understand is why they have an 05 USPS helmet when USPS doesn't exist anymore and why they don't have a Discovery helmet. You would think they would want to cash in on Lance's last year.

I pretty much only wear my team kit when I ride. It's really nice stuff for the cost and I have plenty of it.
I just see no reason to spend 100+ on a pair of plain black bibs when I can get 3 or more pair of team bibs for the same amount of money. The same goes for Jerseys but the ratio is closer to 2:1.

ah -- cool. Of all the collegiate jerseys I've seen, I'd have to rank UCB's as one of the sharpest. UVM (University of Vermont) has nice ones too.

The closest I have to team apparal are some Harpoon Brewery jerseys -- one for their IPA and another for their Summer Brew . They (Harpoon) also have an annual "B2B" (Brewery to Brewery) for which they create a new jersey https://www.harpoonbrewery.com/b2b/jersey.html. I'm too much of a girly-man to try completing it this year, I'll do it in '06.
