Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I have been wearing a cycling cap for years while riding the bike, (with and with out a helmet), and off the bike after a ride. And the times I do wear a helmet , after a ride I will put on a cap to cover "helmet hair". If I need to drive to a start area for a ride, I will slap it on and jump into the car with it on. The real question is, should the brim be up or down?
Cheers

As part of a complete ensemble, a cycling cap cannot be wrong as long as one is otherwise also entirely in cycling apparel, and gets a pass more often than an ordinary hat in my book. While it is generally polite to remove ones hat indoors, a cycling cap is preferable to exposed helmet hair.
I wouldn't wear bib shorts to court but if I were ever involved in a case where the driver claimed he didn't see me, I'd put that cycling jersey on with a sweater over. When the time seemed right, I'd take off the sweater. If the judge were to accuse me of contempt of court, I would suggest to him (in the presence of the other attorney) that the attorney should argue for me that since the jersey was not visible in full daylight it shouldn't be an issue here. Hearing that conversation might well be worth the citation. (I wear VERY bright jerseys!)

I read page 1 and I'm going to skip the rest, but I have occasionally worn my cycling caps outside of the activity of cycling since they are the only non-winter head wear I have and I have done some extended outdoors activities that required my head to be protected from the sun.

I'm not going to bother reading all of this, either, but I will say that a cycling cap comes in handy when having to do a nature stop in the cornfield or woods and you don't have any toilet paper.

Many of the larger farms around here have porta-pottys set up for the farmers.

Unless your attorney is a dummy, he or she will already have your jersey with him/her and will seek to introduce it into evidence, the proper way, by asking you whether it was the jersey you were wearing at the time of the accident, when you're testifying, and whether "except for the tears and blood stains" it is in substantially the same condition.
