Addiction LII

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

That's part of the thrill of the hunt. Search for Panasonic every day and get a page of gaspipe.

There's a SWEET DX-4000 up in Seattle, mostly DA but a 600 RD. Overpriced at $650, though.

I've noticed e-Bikes are beginning to clog up Panasonic results, as some advertise their Panasonic Lithium Ion batteries.

Occasionally I'll try to track down the first "real" road bike I got, a Univega Super Special, and it seems like Univega sold more gaspipe than Panasonic. That Super Special rode just about as nice as my Pinarello Record. I'd probably like it even better now, since it was a little more plush and stable. I think I'm too old for '80s racing geo.

Oh, and the Super Special took bigger tires - some 25s would rub on the Pinarello's fork crown.

What's walk-in duty, getting whatever patients walk-in without an appointment is my guess? I would think most of those would be ER or UC caliber ailments, no?

For good reason. That thread was a repeater, the first one closed with extreme prejudice just Wednesday. Once a mod has closed a thread it's usually because of a problem. To reopen the topic in a new thread, as you can imagine, is a really bad idea. In the long run that would only lead to chaos and anarchy forum wide. And who wants that? (Except maybe P&R and Droolheim.)

I have an '84 Paramount that is a swell bike, but it doesn't start to stabilize until you get it up to about 20mph, and I'm more into smelling the roses..

If it ain't square taper, they all look the same to me. Guess I should learn to ID them now that I have one of the non-square aberrations.

I bought a new queen size mattress/box spring from Original Mattress Factory for my 2 year anniversary gift (which is the cotton anniversary). Gets delivered tomorrow. I can't wait, my old mattress was about a decade past its prime.
