Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Tiagra 4700

Looks like a very solid group, basically similar to 105 5700. I was considering the new 105 or partial ultegra, but I'm reconsidering and might save a few bucks and just go with Tiagra. Anybody out there tried it out?

I think it looks like a very nice option, cheap yet very easy to use. I don't know if you can even buy it yet, some places have pre-orders but that is as far as you can get right now.

If your wheels are 11spd compatible, I'd get 5800 because brakes are better.

If you want a triple crankset, 4700 would be a better choice.

from what I'm seeing, 5800 is the same price as 4700(or slightly less).
