I like skinny tubes, but I don't mind if they're sloped or curved. Actually I think curved tubes are kind of neat, because they're hard to make (well, for me) and solve some real problems with frame design.

Like: Solid colors (incl. black - because black goes with everything).
Dislike: White & busy colored frames. White just gets dirty and looks terrible quickly while the busy stuff never seems in-style to my eyes.

To be fair, when you're on the bike, you don't see those things. Only the people around you suffer :-)

Until it starts creaking and you think it's the bottom bracket, so you replace that and it still creaks, so you take it into the shop and when they give it back to you they tell you it was the crankset and they had to completely rebuild it. And you're like, woohoo that's fixed, but 1000 miles later its starting to creak again.
Both me and the other guy in town with this crankset have been having the same issue all year. I'm about to call it quits and throw dura ace on my cannondale.

I despise bright colored anodized components on road bikes, but love them on mountain bikes.

I like an understated and simplistic look, but upon closer inspection there is finer detail that would generally be overlooked. The kind of minute flare that says, "this bike is for me, first."
On the other hand, no matter how loud they've been I've never seen a Colnago I didn't gawk over.
What I don't like is the status quo. Bikes that the owners are trying so hard to make look like everyone else's bikes generally don't do it for me. It's my main contention with Harley Davidson motorcycles. Great, your "custom" fat boy has the HD gel saddle, 6" bar risers, Screaming Eagle pipes, Wind Jammer, etc... just like all the rest of the Harleys out there. Nothing against the machine so much as the dentist who owns it, and in an effort to be unique has basically spent a bunch of money in a feeble attempt to impress everyone else.

Yes, agreed! I meant for the campy stuff. I'm not a fan of the gray plate style chainrings in general...the new campy, the FSA ones, etc...just don't look right to me.

If there's no meat on the bones, you're just grinding hips; who likes that?
I'm divulging some serous stuff here, but with OCD, 'a little dirty,' means cleaning the bike for 4 hours; with my cycling cap on, of course.

I like traditional style, but not everything. Prefer aero cable routing, and don't like very deep drop handlebars.

I will boil this thread down:
I like my bike(s). I dislike your bike(s) if they are different.
