I droped the hamer on my bike today... is my frame going to fail?

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but I just got home from a short 35 mile ride on the MUP. About half way through my hour long ride, I saw @Dan333SP in a bush. If you told him his bike would be ok, you should be ashamed.

Dan, ya just gotta control those temper tantrums. We've all thrown a tool across the garage in a fit of temper when something hasn't worked. In your case, it's a shame it was a hammer and the bike was in the way.

That seat tube seems to have plenty of flexy goodness.

It's a fine balance of goodly flex, lateral stiffness, tortional delightfulness, and rotational righteousness.

In other words, it's ok.

It is a clear case of owner negligence. None of this would have happened if the bike had been properly outfitted to begin with.

It's a good thing the English was on there because it might have said phlegm protector or flame protector. I wouldn't know what to do with a phlegm protector.

Seriously, how do you even ride with the stem so high? It should be at least 100c longer and 30-40 degrees down angle. Timtak would be ashamed.

That will only protect an inch or so. Probably need several hundred to protect a whole frame.

You know it goes on your member don't you? You don't want that banging against the frame and knocking the paint off... Dan was lying when he said a hamer was droped, nice guy, he just didn't want to embarrass us all...

Is that a 51 or 52cm frame?
