Found this Peugeot Ventoux at the end of someone's driveway ready for the trash man. Stripped it down to the frame, cleaned up all of the rust. Repainted and built back up.

I built the frame as a new race bike in 1981 or so, a couple years after high school, then had Peter Weigle paint it in my team colors. A few years ago upgraded it to Campy 10 speed. It's showing it's age a bit now.
Some day I may add downtube cable stops and get it repainted.

I must say that these bike are a lot more interesting and aesthetically appealing that what come from the factory. It must be the variety of colors and love applied in the paint.

My 1991 Davidson Impulse. I finally gave in and upgraded the wheels to Shimano RS-80 (Dura-Ace rear derailleur and shifters), but kept the crank and brakeset Suntour Superbe Pro.

I just finished with putting all the decals on the frame now an it is getting ready to get a professional clear coat and buff job. I am really pleased with how it turned out:

I had them made, I have a buddy that owns a company called creativecolor, they do vinyl wrapping of cars and other things so I gave him some pictures and dimensions of what I use to have and he took it from there. It was a lot cheaper then trying to find factory ones.

Here's my new Carbonello. It started out as a Saeco CAAD4. I couldn't take the McDonalds color scheme any more.

I really like the faux carbon weave pattern. Normally I am not a fan of black bikes but that is really great!!
The decals are cool too

Non omnino gravis
Duracoat (firearm coating) in WWII OD Green for the frame, and Matte Black for the fork. All done myself with a little CH HVLP sprayer. This is the bike after about 3 months of use, so the coating should be about fully cured at this point. There's a few nicks here and there, but the beauty of Duracoat, and nice matte finishes, is that nothing really shows up. The bike in this pic is totally uncleaned, I had ridden 200+ miles that week without touching it at all.

Little bump from this thread but I got the bike back built up about 99.999% just a few little things, also excuse my small ring picture:
