What are your cycling goals for 2016?

Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

2015 was a slow year because of health issues, although I rode regularly I did not log any long miles and will hope to improve on that.

Find a perfect saddle, well that might be a 10 year goal really.

Will try to ride my fat bike more on snowy trails, the cyclocross bike more on crummy trails/paths, so I can emerge more fit in the Spring than I have ever. I usually end up not riding in the winter and it really throws me off track. I'm really enjoying fat biking, though have not taken the cross bike out yet.

I am going to quit racing, and go for Strava KOMs instead.

Same as every year. No wrecks that require professional medical attention or result in lost time at work, 12,000 miles not including commutes.

I'd like to exceed my 2014 mileage (3,562), something I was unable to do in 2015 due to 6 weeks off the bike after I broke my clavicle. So...in round numbers (and in Strava), I'm making 4,000 miles my 2016 mileage goal. 2015 was also the first year since I started riding that I didn't do a 100 mile ride, so I'd like to get at least one of those in also.

I still want my KOM back from the 2014 goals. I got one going the other direction on that segment but somebody flagged it as a car-KOM so now I have two to regain.

I think a big one would be spend less money, but I really want a set of November Nimbus Ti wheels. I have a goal set to earn them but overall for the year I would like to get in over 3000 miles and do a century. Hope I do not collapse a lung again, knock on wood.

7300 miles
350000 feet^

...but more importantly, try to expand my territory. There are some segments I've passed over 80+ times. My heatmap is starting to be composed of a few very, very bright lines. And it's a little boring sometimes.

My goal is simple and comes directly from the BGs:

I started the end of June and got in about 1500 miles, and got up to the high 14's on my average MPH. I think 4K miles, getting my average up to the high 16's and a century are reasonable goals.

10 races and win at least one.
Try to get from "too fat" for this sport to mildly fat for this sport.
Get my n+1.
Don't get hit by another F-150.
