Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Just got back from driving my wife around to cemeteries removing winter wreaths and decorations. She's good at remembering people. I'll have to take her back out in a couple months to put spring stuff out.

So, to answer the question, yes, I am comfortably numb. I have the fireplace going, my feet up and a beverage at my side.

My dad used to make us health food pancakes. One morning I poured syrup over a hot plate of hotcakes and noticed lots of brown specks. Thinking he had added some wheat germ or other concoction, I dived in and ate, and felt the syrup move. What I had thought was wheat germ were actually hundreds of ants. Yum!

We all are, Madison avenue advertisers are marketing geniuses, how else to take an activity, smoking, and make it sexy and feminine for one sex and macho and tough for the other! Same activity, totally different perceptions.

...I weep openly in public now. I'm in touch with my inner feminine side, and I can get away with it in a presidential election year, when many people would like to do so.

We have a pantry next to our refrigerator and learned the hard way to keep everything like flour and pancake batter in glass containers. The warm air from the fridge will "wake" up the meal bugs in both over time.Yes, the eggs are in there.

Excellent club ride today. We were worried about road conditions and there were a few ice patches but mostly clear and a civilized winter pace made for a good ride. The beautiful snow covered landscapes were an additional treat. But no time for pics, just riding.

I am am trying to decide whether to watch "Grease Live" this evening. Probably will if one or both of the girls do.

Hahahaha. I was actually referring to me.

My reference to irony had to do with the fact that I made a sarcastic post to make the point that sarcastic posts are pointless. It was funny once you pointed it out.

Then double irony because you took the comment to be directed to you. Which is also funny when you think about it.

I didn't realize that there was anything in that show that needed cleaning up.

WTF? I just got home, and turned on the TV.

Who watches the NFL Pro Bowl, and why do any teams allow their players to participate?
