Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Had the procedure done on Friday. Sat around watching movies all weekend. Rode to work on Monday. I've had much worse experiences in the periodontist's chair than with this experience. Of course, YMMV.

No vasectomy for Catholics. Being off the bike is the least of your worries.

I have to admit that surgery on my eyes or the netherworld just makes me shutter.
I wish you the best of luck though.

I know this feeling. Second kiddo due in February and when I mentioned the possibility to my wife she was surprised that I would even volunteer. Heck, after ACL replacement recovery, I think I can handle quite a bit.

I had about the same results, but a friend who'd had his done around the same time was limping around two weeks later, so YRMV indeed...

At least 2 of the guys on our team had it done while they have been cycling and both were back on the bike within a couple of days with no complaints.

I'm starting to look into it. If I don't win the powerball this Wednesday then I need to just go ahead and book it.

Maybe only a couple of days if you follow doctors orders for the first few days following the procedure. If you ignore him and use the first day to do a bunch of yard work, then go straight back to work the second day. Much longer...

Listen to your doctor.
