Is this one going to take off now that Annoyance is closed, or is it just not interesting enough?

I went on The Facebook today and for fun I thought I would check the page of my LBS. I noticed they have pictures of customers with their new bikes, which I thought was pretty cool. Then I realized that when I bought my bike there last summer they never took a picture of me! First I thought that they must have just forgotten, it was the busy season after all. But after further inspection I have realized that all the people in the pictures are shown with really nice bicycles! (custom Madone, some tri aero rig, crabon Dura Ace, some thing with full suspension and whatnot) Now I am wondering whether they just forgot or if they think my Sora equipped poverty bike is not worthy of their Facebook page. I was going to take it for a brake adjustment this week but now I don't know if I should! Should I ask them about it? Should I look for a new LBS? Maybe I should just get a new bicycle, I was already thinking I might have already outgrown mine since I averaged 17mph on my last ride on the MUP. Has anyone had a similar experience before? How did you resolve it? I am fuming right now but I do not want to offend anyone if that is proper LBS behaviour. Thanks.

I can't help but think that the low end bike (and perhaps his attire) isn't consistent with the image they want to project. I recall one time as a young man getting kicked off a golf course because I had ratty clubs - well, only two clubs (I didn't want to overburden my caddie), and the mesh t-shirt and cutoffs detracted from the decorum of the course. I think. Threats of police, confrontation and shouting, a generally bad scene; I wouldn't wish that on OP. Maybe it's better to let sleeping dogs lie. Or if I may be so bold as to make a suggestion, OP could hire a photographer to compose a glamour shot with the bike out on the road, too glamourous and exciting for the shop to resist.

I think it has been amply demonstrated that offending people is "proper" or at least common LBS behavior. Start your own virtual shop and then you can offend, virtually, everyone!

Even if you did find someone, he would probably complain about the stranded preposition. I think that the random capitalization is an improvement over your sometimes opaque style of writing, so carry on
